Elder Samuel Sago was born in the delta of Leflore County Mississippi, December 2, 1955 to the late Rev. David and Mrs. Murphy Sago.  His father was a share cropper and a Baptist minister.  His mother was the keeper of the home on the plantation as well as a firm believer in the Word of God.  He is the seventh child of ten children.  Being raised in a God fearing home, Elder Sago developed a relationship with the Lord as a young teenager.  He gave his life to the Lord during those early years.

He attended the Amanda Elzy High School in Greenwood, MS. He received a B. A. Degree in art from Mississippi Valley State University.

During the years at MVSU, Elder Samuel Sago heard the voice of God and accepted the call to preach this glorious gospel of Jesus Christ.  He served as the president of “Youth for Christ", a college based Christian organization dedicated to reaching out to the youth, and encouraging them to make positive decisions to serve Christ.  Elder Sago continued his studies at the C. H. Mason System of Bible Colleges in Dallas, TX.

T. Scott.

He is the proud father of two beautiful children:  Samuel Maurice Sago, and Candyce Renat Sago (Jonathan).  He is also the proud grandfather of two grandchildren, Amaya Imani Simmons, and Jonathan Latrell Simmons II.

Elder Sago still considers himself newly wedded to Evangelist Barbara Jackson Sago of Memphis, TN who is the CEO of Jackson Studio of Music and serves as Vice President of The International Music Department of the Church Of God In Christ, Inc.

Elder Samuel Sago has a passion for empowering the people of God to be able to walk into their divine destiny and purpose.  His mission is to win souls for Christ so that the Kingdom of God might be advanced and that God’s house might be filled.
